I got to hear some amazing uplifting speakers this past weekend at an event called
"Time Out for Women."
One thing in particular that struck me was the idea that there is power in living as if God's promises have already been fulfilled. Also, being in the present is where your life is the most rich and colorful. Don't obsess about a future you do not know. Mormon 5:23
There was an analogy given about walking or running to lose weight: " Feel your feet. Focus on each step you are taking. Be where your feet are."
Sometimes when we are waiting for something, there are things that are out of our control. Focus on the things you can control. If God made you a promise, it was set in motion a long time ago.
D&C 111 "I will order all things for your good as fast as you are able to receive them."
Is there any chance God is waiting for you to be ready. Could he be waiting for you to ask for something better? Hebrews 11:40
Elder Holland said, "God is anxiously awaiting to fulfill your dreams..."
We should pray boldly and be specific. Believe that your life today is exactly where God knew it would be. Keep praying. Keep rejoicing.
